NYU student creates dresses from expired condoms

We could not help condemning the kitschy sense of fashion when we first inquired into dresses made from condoms. However, this time, it comes about with a difference as the New York University student Emma Kaywin reinvigorates a pile of expired condoms from her HIV Hotline internship by using them to make two dresses and a coat, rather than allowing them to add to the landfills.

Displayed at the NYU Gallatin School of Individualized Study’s “Eco Fashion Week” in January, the outfits got a mixed response. Just to make sure that people doesn’t show contempt toward her creations, she actually wears these apparels in public. Now, that’s worth the consideration for sure.
